Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson discussed the Music City Loop and Tennessee’s approach to regulating underground transportation projects as tunneling work continued in Nashville.
The privately financed project is planned to connect locations in downtown Nashville with Nashville International Airport through an underground transportation network.
Johnson sponsored legislation establishing the state regulatory framework governing subterranean transportation projects. In an interview with The Michael Patrick Leahy Show, he discussed the potential for the system to provide another transportation option while reducing pressure on existing surface roads.
